Dan McGuan – President, Viable Med Services

Dan McGuan was one of the first 20 MRI service professionals hired in the United States by Hitachi® Medical Systems America. Dan played a significant leadership role in the establishment and growth of the open MRI market in the United States, and has over 29 years of experience as a field service engineer. While working with Hitachi®, Dan grew the MRI install base from nine units in the western states to over 140 in California alone. He also developed and implemented a Corrective and Preventative Action Plan (CAPA) that reduced equipment problems and customer complaints while producing a 300% increase in field service productivity.
From this foundation, Dan founded Viable Med Services, with the mission of providing the very best in personalized service to our medical imaging clients.  

Ron Allison, National Service Manager

Ron Allison has over 23 years of experience in medical imaging service. Specializing in MRI, CT, X-Ray, Nuclear and Ultrasound. As a former Senior Field Service Engineer and SW Area Group Leader at Hitachi® Medical Systems America, he has extensive training and experience in installing and servicing Hitachi® Open MRI’s. Along with Ron’s extensive Hitachi® experience he also has a great understanding of hospital requirements as he has worked for Baylor University Medical Center hospitals and Columbia HCA hospitals in servicing and supporting all hospital medical imaging equipment.

Roy Galdes - Manager of National Technical Support

Roy Galdes has over 25 years of experience as a field service engineer, specializing in installing, maintaining and servicing MRI systems, and providing national technical support. As a former senior field service engineer at Hitachi® Medical Systems America, he has extensive training and experience in installing and servicing Hitachi open MRIs, and providing systems networking and PACS support. Along with Roy's extensive Hitachi experience he has also held positions as a National Technical Support Specialist with Toshiba Medical maintaining their large lines of High-Field MRI systems and full training and qualifications on Hitachi and Siemens PET Systems.
